Medium
(2025-2026)
medium (n.) the intervening substance through which impressions are conveyed to the senses or a force acts on objects at a distance.
In our time, the gravitational pull toward the infinite possibilities of the internet has left us paradoxically isolated from one another and estranged from our own physical reality. I find this phenomenon to be an incredibly rich source of artistic inspiration. What has this disembodiment done to us? In other words, what art is asking to be made which reflects this quality of modern life? where do we go from here? What is worth noticing, preserving, or honoring about our physical existence as our personal, professional, and social realities shift increasingly online?
This work was presented along with the “Doomscrolling” series in a solo exhibition at Decentered Arts Studio in San Francisco in February 2026.
